How to Tile Images Without Photoshop?

When you want to make a collage of family vacation photos or some unique tileable textures for a specific purpose, you can make your own using regular pictures. If you don’t know how to use Photoshop, you can make such images with GIMP.

Step One: Download GIMP and install it on your computer.

Step Two: Launch the program and click “File”–”Open” to load the image you want to tile.

Step Three: Select “Image” in the menu and click “Canvas Size”. There you can edit the width and height.

Step Four: Select “Move” tool to place the picture in the lower left corner and click “Select”–”Select all”. Then click “Copy” and “Paste” under “Edit” menu.

Step Five: Move the copy of your image to the lower right corner and click “Edit”–”Transform”–”Flip horizontal”.
