If you are switching computers, or re-installing your computer, you may want to save and backup everything you have. Contacts in Skype can also be backed up to be added to your account with another installation.
Here is how to back up your contacts from Skype:
Step One. Open Skype. Make sure all contacts you want to back up are listed in your contacts list:
Step Two. Click on the “Contacts” tab on the top bar:
Step Three. Select “Advanced”:
Step Four. Select “Backup Contacts to File” from the sub-menu:
Step Five. Type a name for the export file containing all your contacts and click “Save”:
That’s it, your Skype contacts are saved!
